Former hacker, and mercurial tech entrepreneur and owner of the popular file-sharing site, MegaUpload, Kim Dotcom, arrived in New Zealand with his family in late 2010, and quickly became Washington’s cyber public enemy No. 1. This followed an FBI-directed raid of his mansion, with no less than 70 heavily armed officers who arrested Dotcom and his coders on  charges of alleged copyright infringement by MegaUpload. But Dotcom refused to quieted and began fighting back. He had loyal supporters and powerful enemies. The question still remains: is he a bit–stream pirate, or pioneer of freedom for the internet age?
