British performance artist Robert Newman delves deep into the world wars and real politik, with this brilliant and creative journey through Newman’s unique theatre of the mind – chronicling the exploits of the Anglo-American Empire over the last hundred years – with oil as the central protagonist. In it, he questions the supposed ‘liberal’ media propensity to side-skirt important issues, in a ‘Festen-style conspiracy of silence administered by groupthink and ruled the corporations who own media and politicians. Definitely a thought-provoking one man performance.
