The snap referendums have triggered a political crisis among G7 countries.

This weekend, the two Donbass republics, as well as Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, are holding referenda regarding joining the Russian Federation. The voting started on Friday and is expected to end next week on September 27th.

Meanwhile, the G7 countries have unanimously condemned the alleged “sham referendums” in Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson, and Zaporozhye as “illegitimate” and “undemocratic.” Led by the US and UK, political leaders insist that they will never accept their results and will continue to support the western-backed regime in Kiev.

Clearly, the snap referendums have triggered a political crisis among G7 countries who, despite their misleading mainstream media reporting that Kiev is on the verge of winning the conflict with Russia, are now facing a major political defeat in what may soon become the ‘former regions of Ukraine.’ Frustrated, US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, and Japan denounced the “sham referenda that Russia attempts to use to create a phony pretext for changing the status of Ukrainian sovereign territory,” which “have no legal effect or legitimacy,” and “in no way respect democratic norms,” according to a joint statement.

Independent British journalist Graham Phillips is on the ground in Donbass, and documented residents going to the polls.
