This past week was the two year anniversary of the downing of Flight MH17 in Ukraine, so we will be presenting a triple bill of three documentary films which offer a vast different view than the western media’s mainstream depiction of this crucial historical event – in the hopes of raising more questions, and getting some answers as to what really happened on July 17, 2014.

‘Reflections on MH17’

“The tragedy of MH17 in which 298 people lost their lives, made the conflict in Ukraine real for many other countries. While the international community awaits the outcome of the crash investigation, speculation in the media continues to fuel the blame game. RTD travels far and wide to interview international experts on what has hindered the investigation, what procedures were needed to collect vital evidence and what might have brought down the ill-fated Boeing 777.” Watch:

‘MH17: The Untold Story’

“Three months after Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 was violently brought down from the skies over Ukraine, there are still no definitive answers to what caused the tragedy. Civil conflict in the area prevented international experts from conducting a full and thorough investigation. The wreckage should have been collected and scrupulously re-assembled to identify all the damage, but this standard investigative procedure was never carried out. Until that’s done, evidence can only be gleaned from pictures of the debris, the flight recorders or black boxes and eye-witnesses’ testimonies. This may be enough to help build a picture of what really happened to the aircraft, whether a rocket fired from the ground or gunfire from a military jet.” Watch:

‘MH-17: A year without the truth’

“One year after the tragedy of flight MH17, RTD revisits the investigation into the Boeing 777 crash. The film explores theories relating to the cause of the tragedy, and also tells some of the personal stories of the victims and their families. It presents interviews with experts, witnesses and bloggers who are trying to establish the truth of what might have brought the plane down. As the Dutch-led investigation continues to be shrouded in secrecy, many believe it may be overlooking important evidence. Meanwhile, the relatives of those who died in the crash are still waiting for answers.” Watch:
